Terms of Use
In order to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests, COMICO ART HOUSE YUFUIN (hereinafter referred to as "our hotel") has established the following rules of use (hereinafter referred to as "these rules") in accordance with Article 10 of the Accommodation Contract. We ask for your cooperation in observing these rules.
Please note that if you do not abide by these rules, we may be forced to refuse you accommodation or use of the hotel facilities and may also require you to pay for any damages incurred by the hotel.
Furthermore, our hotel is a guesthouse defined as a "simple lodging facility" and is operated with a hotel business license.
1. Safety and security precautions
(1) Please refer to the information booklet in your guest room for evacuation route maps.
(2) Please be sure to lock the front door, windows, etc. not only when you go out but also during your stay (especially when you go to sleep).
(3) If you spot any suspicious persons, please contact the Front Desk.
2. Use of the Guest Rooms
(1) Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is strictly prohibited in the guest rooms and on the premises. Please also refrain from any other behavior that may cause a fire.
(2) Please do not use any open flames, candles, etc. for heating or cooking within the facility without permission from the hotel. Cooking within the facility is also strictly prohibited.
(3) Please refrain from using guest rooms for commercial purposes (exhibitions, etc.) without permission from the hotel.
(4) Please do not use photographs taken within the museum premises for commercial purposes without permission from the museum.
(5) Please do not move any guest room furniture or take any items out of the guest room without permission from the hotel. Furthermore, please do not make any modifications to the room or alter its current state. Please do not place any items near the windows that may mar the appearance of the hotel.
(6) A long-term accommodation contract does not give rise to any leasehold rights, rights of residence or other rights under the House Tenancy Act or any other laws relating to residence.
(7) We ask that guests other than those registered as guests refrain from staying at the Hotel and from having visitors in their rooms.
(8) We will not allow minors to stay alone. We also ask that children of elementary school age or younger refrain from staying at our facilities, even if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
(9) Please be sure to place cash and other valuables in the guestroom safe.
(10) Please do not bring the following items into the facility:
① Animals and other pets in general ② Stimulants, narcotics, and other drugs prohibited by law ③ Items that emit a foul odor ④ Extremely large or heavy items ⑤ Items that are flammable or easily combustible, explosive items, oils, and other dangerous items ⑥ Firearms, swords, and other weapons ⑦ Other items that are deemed to pose a threat to the safety of other customers
(11) Please refrain from entering the museum space, including the exterior corridors, except when viewing the museum.
(12) Please refrain from using your guest room or outdoor garden spaces while wearing your nightwear, slippers, or other such clothing.
(13) When reading books, magazines, etc. provided in the guest rooms, please do not remove the covers.
(14) In winter, the floor heating in the guest rooms will be kept at a fixed temperature of 40 degrees. If you feel it is too cold, please adjust the air conditioning.
(15) Please be advised that for security purposes, security cameras have been installed in various places throughout the hotel, except for guest rooms and the private gardens.
(16) Please be sure to return your room key to the front desk when checking out.
(17) If you make a mess in your guest room, please wipe it off with a wet towel and notify a member of staff.
(18) The door is heavy, so please be careful when opening and closing it.
(19) If you lose your room key, you will be required to pay a reasonable amount of compensation.
(20) If the building, fixtures or other items are damaged, defaced or lost due to reasons other than force majeure, you may be required to pay an appropriate amount of compensation.
3. Use of Japanese-style rooms
Please take off your slippers when entering the Japanese-style room.
4. Use of the bedrooms
(1) Please refrain from sitting on the bedside table or any other strenuous activities.
(2) Do not jump on the bed as this may cause damage or injury.
(3) Please refrain from climbing onto the roof from the second-floor windows of the earth building as it is dangerous.
(4) For security reasons, please keep the blinds and paper screens on the second floor of the earth building closed at night.
5. Use of the kitchen
(1) All drinks in the refrigerator are free of charge.
(2) We are unable to add any additional drinks or coffee portions to the refrigerator.
(3) After use, place dishes and kitchen utensils around the sink without washing them.
(4) Please separate food waste and plastic waste and use the trash can under the sink.
(5) If any tableware breaks, please be careful not to injure yourself and notify a facility staff member.
6. Use of the bathroom and shower room on the second floor of the earth building
(1) Since we use hot spring water from the source, please adjust the temperature by adding cold water when filling the bathtub. It takes about 60 minutes for the hot spring water to fill the bathtub. However, there may be cases where the hot spring water stops flowing temporarily when the hot spring water tank is replaced. In this case, please wait about 60 minutes and try again.
(2) The ingredients of the hot spring may crystallize and settle or float in the bathtub, or sand or other particles may accumulate; however, this is because the hot spring is natural, so please understand.
(3) It may take up to 2 minutes for hot water to come out of the faucet or shower.
(4) The use of hair dyes, bleach, etc. in the bathrooms and shower rooms is strictly prohibited.
(5) Please be careful not to bump into the glass doors at the entrance to the bathroom and shower room.
(6) At night, the path from the indoor bath to the open-air bath becomes dark. Please watch your step.
(7) Please keep the door connecting the bathroom to your guest room closed while bathing, as steam can cause mold. Also, please do not turn off the bathroom exhaust fan.
7. Using the stairs in the earth building
(1) There are gaps between the staircase posts and treads, so please be careful when going up and down the stairs.
(2) When entering the space under the stairs, please be careful of the steps above your head.
8. Use of the private garden
(1) Please refrain from using open flames or engaging in any behavior that may cause a fire.
(2) Please refrain from entering or exiting through the emergency exits except in emergencies.
(3) Climbing on plants or picking flowers or fruits is prohibited.
(4) Please be careful not to drop anything into the gaps in the veranda as it will be difficult to retrieve.
9. Other precautions
(1) The sounds of the machines that pump up the hot spring water, the sound of rain on the roof when it rains, and the sound of morning and evening dew falling from the roof in winter may be loud. Please use earplugs if necessary when sleeping.
(2) In the morning, light may shine through the gaps in the blinds, so please use an eye mask if necessary before going to bed.
(3) In line with the museum's opening hours, museum staff will begin coming and going from around 8:00 a.m. During this time, please be advised that some noise may be heard.
(4) Please refrain from loud voices, singing, or any other noisy behavior that may disturb other guests within the facility. In addition, we will immediately refuse entry to anyone who engages in gambling or any other behavior that violates public order and morals.
10. Payment
(1) If you pay in advance, you will be required to pay by credit card via the reservation site at the time of booking. The bathing tax (150 yen/person) will be collected at the front desk or in your room upon check-out. If you pay on-site, you will be required to pay by cash or a credit card approved by the hotel at the front desk or in your room upon check-out.
(2) We will not pay for shopping expenses, tickets, taxi fares, postage stamps, luggage shipping, etc.
(3) As a service charge is added to accommodation charges, we do not accept tips or other payments.
(4) The admission fee to COMICO ART MUSEUM YUFUIN is included in the accommodation fee, so there is no need to pay it separately.
11. Use of Internet Communications, etc.
(1) Any internet communications conducted by customers using the Wi-Fi service or other communication means provided by the Hotel are done at their own risk.
(2) The Museum shall not be liable for any damage suffered by customers as a result of the interruption of Wi-Fi service or other communication means due to a system failure or other reason. Therefore, we recommend that you take security measures in advance for your computers, etc., including anti-virus measures and measures against unauthorized access.
(3) If the Museum determines that your use of the Internet is inappropriate, such as likely to cause damage to the Museum or third parties, the Museum may request that you discontinue your use of the Internet and may charge you an amount equivalent to any damages caused to the Museum.
(4) We take great care in managing our Internet communications equipment. However, in the unavoidable event of an abnormality, breakdown or failure, the Hotel will endeavor to restore service as quickly as possible and will not bear any further responsibility. Please be aware of the possibility of losing your data or losing communications.
(5) If you have used a video streaming service on the television installed in your guest room using your own account, you must log out upon check-out.
12. Room Cleaning
(1) Unless otherwise agreed between the guest and the room, if the same room is used consecutively, cleaning will not be done every day. Only if the guest stays for three or more consecutive nights will the room be cleaned once on the third day after two consecutive nights for hygienic reasons. (This rule applies to all stays of three or more consecutive nights.)
(2) Please contact facility staff if you would like to have towels and amenities replenished.
13. Parking
Our hotel does not have a private or affiliated parking lot. If you come by car, please use a nearby paid parking lot.
14. Response time
Staff can be contacted between 7:00am and 8:00pm. We cannot respond outside these hours, so please refer to Section 15 of these rules for emergency response methods.
15. Emergency Response
(1) Daytime service (7:00AM to 8:00PM) Please come to the front desk or call the facility staff. The phone number will be provided to you when you check in.
(2) Response outside of business hours (8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the following morning) Facility staff will not be able to respond to inquiries outside of business hours (8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the following morning). We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but please see below for emergency contact information outside of business hours.
① If an emergency occurs, press the red "emergency button" in the restroom and a security officer from the security company (Japan Federation of Security) will come to your aid (in about 15 to 20 minutes).
② In case of fire or emergency (ambulance, fire engine)

16. Other
In order to conserve resources, we ask for your cooperation in conserving electricity and water.
17. Changes to the Rules
(1) These Rules are considered standard terms and conditions under the Civil Code, and each provision of these Rules will be changed in accordance with the provisions of the Civil Code when it is in the general interest of customers or when it is deemed that a reasonable cause requires such change.
(2) Any changes to these Rules will be posted on the Hotel's designated website and will apply from the effective date specified at the time of posting. Furthermore, the Rules will also be made available in the guest rooms, including in the event of any changes to these Rules.
