5th ANNIVERSARY
COMICO ART MUSEUM YUFUIN is celebrating its 5th anniversary.
2024年11月21日
Thank you for your continued patronage of COMICO ART MUSEUM YUFUIN.
The museum celebrated its fifth anniversary on October 22nd.
This would not have been possible without your help and support. We would like to express our sincere gratitude.
The new building, designed by architect Kengo Kuma like the main building, also opened last July.
The black burnt cedar exterior walls blend in with the natural surroundings while also creating a strong presence.
Additionally, the large roof that stretches into the sky serves to connect the artwork to Mount Yufu.
On the first floor, works by Yayoi Kusama, Tatsuo Miyajima, Hiroshi Sugimoto, and Takashi Murakami are on display.
On the second floor, works by Yoshitomo Nara, Kohei Nawa, and Mariko Mori are on outdoor display.
We hope that visitors will be able to experience the works of some of Japan's leading artists.
We hope you enjoy the art along with the rich nature of Yufuin.
To commemorate our 5th anniversary, we will be selling our original tenugui hand towels in limited quantities.
The chic design is based on the motif of our hotel building.
The finish is smaller than usual, so you can use it with ease.
Please take this opportunity to purchase.
